WASHINGTON, Jan. 4 (UPI) Organizers are predicting 200,000 will participate in the Women s March on Washington the day after Donald Trump is inaugurated as president.
The National Park Service s list of First Amendment applications lists a permit for that size of a crowd on Jan. 21.

Ultimately, the goal of the agreement is to keep the increase in the global average temperature to less than 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. Joining the agreement means countries have a requirement to plan and report on its efforts to reduce global warming and emissions.
Two protests scheduled to take place inside the security perimeter near the National Mall were nixed ahead of Inauguration Day, and instead, one demonstration was granted permission to go forth in front of Union Station.

Militias and mass protests did not appear in Washington, D.C., during President Biden s inauguration Wednesday a welcome development for security and law enforcement agencies. Some 25,000 National Guard members are in the city, where insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol just two weeks ago.
The FBI warned last week that all 50 state capitals could see violent protests from people who refuse to accept Trump s loss to Biden.
But similar to the so-called Million Militia March that fizzled on Sunday, some far-right activists are telling their followers to stand down on Inauguration Day, citing a massive security presence at government buildings in Washington and state capitals.
