In a gruesome murder-suicide case, a renowned lawyer fatally shot dead his sleeping wife before turning the gun on himself.
John Liquori, 59, allegedly shot Cindy Liquori, 55, on Christmas Day while the couple were spending the day at John’s mother-in-law’s home in Windsor Locks, according to a report in the
Hartford Courant.
Authorities believe that Covid-19 could possibly be responsible for the killing while the real motive is yet to be revealed.
Cindy had apparently tested Covid-19 positive while John was waiting for the results of his test when the killing took place.

A Connecticut lawyer who allegedly fatally shot his wife on Christmas night before killing himself had been waiting for test results to determine whether he was COVID-19 positive after his wife had tested positive, according to authorities.
Hartford County lawyer, John Liquori, 59, and his wife, Cindy Liquori, 55, were found dead after the Windsor Locks Police Department received a 911 call reporting a shooting around 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 25, said Lt. Paul Cherniack.
Responding officers found the couple dead from gunshot wounds inside Cindy Liquori s mother s home, he added.
Windsor Locks detectives and Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad responded to the scene shortly thereafter.

John Liquori, 59, fatally shot sleeping Cindy Liquori, 55, before shooting himself on Friday while at the home of Cindy s mother in Windsor Locks, about 15 miles north of Hartford, local newspaper the Hartford Courant reported Monday.
The motive behind the murder suicide is still unknown, authorities said, but it is believed that Covid-19 played a part in the days leading up to the killing.
Authorities were told that Cindy had Covid-19 and that John may also have had the virus, according to Windsor Locks Detective Sgt. Jeff Lampson.
According to
the Courant, John called Cindy s brother on Friday, asking that he come over and pick up the dogs.
The paper s report says the brother found both bodies at about 6 p.m.
A revolver was recovered from the scene.
The couple lived in nearby Suffield, reports Patch.com.
Police continue to investigate what led to the murder-suicide.
Cindy owned and operated Cindy s Soap Cottage, a small shop specializing in artisanal soaps, CBD topicals and tinctures, bath bombs and candles.
