I mean, it would seem yeah, id like to understand because again, i just saw on some of the photos we saw earlier, its in some situations its very quite dramatic where literally people have to walk single file to get past these bus shelters because theyre so wide. Advertising is a source of revenue for muni. These are complicated policy questions, but it would seem to me in that kind of situation the Planning Department should be involved in terms of ensuring that the better streets plan is being taken into account. The bathroom has not been approved by the owner of the building as specifically sets out in the regulations in the law. The bathroom is not 200 from where the truck is. In fact, its about a block and a half. You have to go half a block across the street and north half a block and up the stairs and back in the mezzanine and i viewed it today and i can tell you its quite a ways. And there is no handicap path of travel to the bathroom, which is required. No way can the customers use it or the employees use it. No. 2 is parking. Its taking the last two spaces in this whole large two and a half block area of downtown. No parking. We need parking for customers. We dont need parking for coffee. No. 3 the side door, when you open the side door it will take 60 of the sidewalk. Its right in front of a restaurant. When the restaurant puts out their tables it takes up 40 of the table, 60 and 40 last time i checked was 100. Where are the pedestrians in its a problem. We have an illegal bathroom and
Decision that you have in front of you tonight. Its very tough. We have heard a lot of opinions, a lot of anecdotal information and a lot of what ifs, but i want to share in information from a recent article from early january. The Golden Gate Restaurant Association that reported that when food trucks pull up in front of restaurants they have been reporting a 3040 loss in business. I wonder how many of the people who are for food trucks would like to see a 3040 loss of their business from something that pulls up in front of their office, their retail store . And then pulls away . I think the 300 radius and like food items was put in place to try to protect those businesss and push the food carts in areas that are food desert wheres they need to create activity and more opportunities for neighborhoods that are underserved. So thinking about the loss of business that could affect these restaurants and cafes in the financial district, thank you is there any further Public Comment . If not
