will be the ones that will have a booming economy that will suffer and suffer badly. so i don t think they re interested in doing this. with that said, there s things neil: would you give them a heads-up? as we did with the russians and the syrian tomahawk missiles? i can t speak for the president, but he would say this is the last chance to get them in line. neil: and probably tell the north korean as well. we re going to do it. and we have the capability. some things we need to build. i mentioned to producers that we have to build brilliant pebbles, which was developed under ronald reagan, a space-based system that would give us more capability over a wider range of ballistic missile threats. with that we can hit these missiles on the boost phase. so we need to go both ways. show resolve and say look, there s going to be a huge and direct penalty to you, china and
of this test for a while now. obviously it s sending a message to north korea. lieutenant colonel tony shaffer says maybe that s the idea. good to talk to you. good to see you. what do you make of this and the message that we are send something. exactly what you said. a show of force. we talked about before, neil, this is something that we are taking seriously. i applaud from trump for breaking the paradigm of the past where every republican or administration has said we re going to do something. this president is doing something. this firing of the missile says if you poke news the chest, this is what will happen. this is the message. it s not the end all and be all, but it s a signal back to them. neil: you think it s a
away? just another case of america coming to europe that couldn t handle a monster in their own back yard. that would be snickering, wouldn t it? just like you could say telling the germans to their face that they could be unfair at trade. u.s. presidents in the past tried but repeatedly failed to get their european colleagues to budge. somehow accused the president of abandoning our commitment to nato when he was attending an event for nato. i guess saying we will never forsake the friends that stood by our side isn t clear. or adding for good measure that we will never waiver to defeat terrorism isn t to the point. he stated it is his view, his way, got forbid it wasn t their way. now they re shocked by a u.s. president that doesn t do things their way or say things their way or snicker and cajole, wing
adequately checked out. it s a double whammy. the leakers may have an agenda, but the media, look, they have an agenda with this story. they have been running with it, and they package the leaks they get in a way to try to raise suspicion. it s heavy on in and they said, congressman, you re making a big deal out of. referring to sean spicer and one incident taken out of context. but they re right, it s on the front page but negatively portrayed. even the opening of this in saudi arabia where the president scored $100 billion in dollars. he doesn t want to come on this show. i have no axe to grind here. be u.t. administration does have a point there. what coverage they get is disproportionately negatively.
the president gets frustrated when he sees fake stories get pun established, things not based in fact. a narrative gets pushed that s just with all due respect, when you see instances like that get perpetrated over and over again, that is frustrating. i m not here i didn t come here with a list of things. what you get to decide what is big and what is not, there s a lot of this stuff that has gotten pushed out on unnamed sources that is very troubling. when you say same things happen over and over again, it s concerning. it is concerning. after another reporter questioned the validity of the example mr. spicer gave, he walked out. we re like you re killing me, man. you re killing me. obviously, neil, this is an example of the frustration that the white house has had, that they re under siege from the outset. this is a rough and tumble
