As expected, the push toward a November runoff in the Los Angeles mayoral race begins Wednesday after billionaire real estate developer Rick Caruso and Rep. Karen Bass finished first and second, respectively, in Tuesday's primary election.
Tuesday's deadline is looming for voters to choose from among nine candidates in a race widely seen as a two-candidate duel in the effort to replace termed-out Eric Garcetti.
In-person voting for the primary election began Saturday across Los Angeles County, with more vote center locations set to open on June 4 ahead of election day on June 7.
