The former head of Clark County Juvenile Justice Services used racial epithets to describe youth offenders while he perpetuated an unprofessional atmosphere around his employees, a recently obtained report found.
“As a result of the investigation and the substantiated findings, Jack Martin was terminated from employment,” county spokesman Jennifer Cooper told the Review-Journal Thursday.
The embattled director of Clark County’s Juvenile Justice Services was accused earlier this year of nepotism, inappropriate remarks and sham discipline proceedings.
Clark County hired Littler Mendelson P.C., a third-party law firm that specializes in employment and “labor law solutions” to investigate allegations of intimidation, retaliation, nepotism and wrongful discipline and terminations.
