MADISON, CT Madison Police Department Chief John Jack Drumm was appointed to the Connecticut Task Force to Study Police Transparency and Accountability.
Drumm, appointed as a voting member of the task force, will work with 10 other voting members and three non-voting members to address the issues of their charge.
The Task Force has been charged largely with evaluating how police interact with the community and in particular, according to its website, people with mental, intellectual and physical disabilities as well as how police conduct traffic stops, execute warrants, respond to civilian complaints and police accountability and transparency. The charge is also to recruit people of color to serve as police officers.
