Warren’s TROOP bandmate  Steve Russell also posted a tribute on Instagram, which reads:  Job well done my brother I will see you on the other sideRIP Reggie Warren. #DamnReggie. The singer passed away Sunday at his home in San Bernardino County, surrounded by family. According to his rep, he had been suffering health issues for months now and was even hospitalized back in January. Warren’s family has not revealed an official cause of death but did indicate that it is not COVID-19 related (BET, 2021).

TROOP, which stands for Total Respect Of Other People, was formed in 1987 in Southern California by childhood friends Allen McNeil, Steve Russell, Rodney Benford, John Harreld and Warren. The group has had three number-one singles and ten top-ten singles on the Billboard R&B Singles chart. They put out five albums, which include three certified gold and one certified platinum album. Their notable hits include Spread My Wings and All I Do Is Think of You. R&B singing group Troop during the BET AWARDS 14 at Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE on June 29, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
