Wife of Kittery man fighting COVID-19 blown away by support
KITTERY, Maine - As of Saturday morning, a Paypal fundraiser has raised $15,360 to cover the medical expenses of John Dorlean, a Kittery man battling COVID-19. He received a convalescent plasma donation in the early hours of Tuesday morning at York Hospital.
Late Thursday, Wanda Dorlean, John’s wife, said the emotional and monetary support from the local community who’ve heard her husband’s story has left her stunned. After paying the hospital bills, she plans on donating money left over from the fundraiser to the Red Cross.
“I’m just blown away and I’m really excited cause I’m pretty sure that I’ll have a good amount left to send to the Red Cross, cause if it wasn’t for them I don’t know what could have happened,” she said.
