Our understanding in talking to sources in the Republican Party and even some democrats is that theyre working on trying to shorten that stopgap measure instead of three weeks, which failed to just seven days for one week. The hope is that will appeal to enough conservatives who voted no. More than 50 republicans voted against this and that was part of the problem. But its still up in the air whether and how they can do that. But of course the clock is ticking and theyre still meeting trying to figure out a plan b. They simply didnt have one.
