CLEVELAND, Ohio Had it not been for the pandemic, theatergoers in Northeast Ohio might be talking about that performance of “The Cher Show” they just saw at Playhouse Square, or making plans to see the Great Lakes Theater’s production of “Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee” at the Hanna this weekend.
Instead, theatres across the region remain dark for the 49th consecutive week. But there is light at the end of the tunnel.

CLEVELAND, Ohio While Cleveland Public Theatre waits for live, in-person shows to resume, the company has put together a winter season of continuing and new virtual performances for the winter.
The lineup will allow CPT, the winner of the National Theatre Conference’s 2020 Outstanding Theatre Award, to fulfill its mission of “raising consciousness and nurturing compassion through theatre that is daring, relevant, and socially conscious” amid the ongoing pandemic, the Gordon Square-based theatre said in a press release.
