Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Caretaker Committee in Kwara State, Abdullahi Samari, has described as very embarrassing and shameful “the introduction of violence into the party’s stakeholders meeting on Wednesday by former Chairman, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa with the aide of his thugs through an authorized door, when he had been duly invited.”
However, Bolarinwa in a swift reaction denied the allegation, saying that the group of Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRasaq, which he alleged prepared the list, had already excluded some of his members from the list.
He also said that it was when one woman rushed at him at the entrance and held his clothes that the crisis erupted.

A group of eminent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara has rejected the Membership Registration Committee sent to the state by the National Secretariat of the party.
The leaders, operating under the aegis of APC Integrity Group, declared that the seven-member committee headed by Sen. John Damboyi is unfit for the registration exercise because of its bias.
They spoke on Friday in Ilorin at a media briefing on Wednesday’s violence that disrupted an APC stakeholders’ meeting held at the Banquet Hall in Ilorin.
The Chairman of the group and Wakili Lafiaji, Umaru Shaaba, who addressed newsmen, said his members were concerned and embarrassed by the festering crisis in the party.

Against calls for reconstitution of the seven-man committee on membership registration and revalidation exercise sent to Kwara state, the chairman of the APC caretaker committee in the state, Abdullahi Samari, has condemned the violent break in upon the venue of the party’s stakeholders meeting allegedly by some loyalists of former party chairman, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa.
This is just as a group of youth in the party, under the aegis of the Concerned Youth Stakeholders of the APC, has asked for reconstitution of the party’s membership registration and revalidation committee sent by the national leadership of the party for the exercise.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state on Wednesday flagged off membership registration and revalidation exercise of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state as crisis continued to rock the party.
The governor, who revalidated his membership of the APC at his Idi Igba ward in the Ilorin West local government area of the state, in presence of the seven-man committee assigned by the national leadership of the party to conduct the exercise, said there is need to expand the base of the party in the state with the exercise.
Governor Abdulrazaq said that the exercise is important as the party is growing due to quality performance of APC state governments across the country, adding that there is need to register nonAPC members who voted for the party who are now convinced to join the fold.
