In John Chasteenâs book Heroes on Horseback we learn about the life and struggle of the brothers Saravia. These two brothers Gumercindo and Aparicio led rebellious movements in Brazil and Uruguay. These rebellious movements not only galvanized thousands of people from rural areas but also threatened large governments that had both numbers and weaponry in their favor.
