From or what your school was like, but it was about ukraine, politics, believes on education and religion. After that moment i was like wow, this week is going to be intense. But it has been very cool to see the evolution of our bonds and friendships. From just talking about politics, our experiences and what we have learned, who we have met, this is an experience i will never forget. Been cynicalays about it. That politics is a caustic environment. Slowly, throughout the week, different people have chipped away at that opinion. That has been so ingrained in my head and i thought maybe i do want to make a difference and run for something local. Like the president said yesterday, he told us not to get cynical because the nation does not need more cynical people. It will not help us to relieve the problems we have. One of the things that gets brought up by this generation is social media. We are able to express our opinions very easily. We can send a tweet about what we think. I think th

Ms. Wertheimer, please proceed. Chairman johnson, Ranking Member crapo, members of the committee, thank you very much for the opportunity to appear before you today. I am honored to be president obamas nominee for Inspector General of the federal Housing Finance agency. And before i begin, id like to introduce my family, who has accompanied me here today. My husband, andy pincus, our daughter, kate pincus, my steadfast mother, sidelle wertheimer. My inlaws walter and ann pincus. With that, let me get to the meat of what id like to say in my statement. What danger do you worry about most in cyberspace . I think thats impressively not necessary. If you have been reading the papers and talking to your friends and colleagues across the private sector, but i would say four things about cyberspace, not entirely well understood by the public that makes use of that. I think therefore we still have some surprises that have insidiously crept up on us. The first thing i would say cyberspace, the internet writ large is not really this Massive Technology that acts as oftentimes is considered as just another version of the voter poll, fix it. Whatever technology, whatever aplukys we need to make it resilient, just do that. Its of course, a mix of technology and people and critical process. And theyre so interlocked its almost impossible to tease one out from the other so you cant delegate this to the i. T. Shop and say fix it. The other thing is everything is connected to everything. Convergence is the reality. For those who think they have an of
