The Stand A TAXI driver had to give up his job after he was blinded in one eye following an attack at a comedy club. Robert Collins, 46, was punched on the head by steel business owner Martin Reilly, 37, at The Stand in Glasgow’s West End on August 28, 2018. Mr Collins had been warned for apparently heckling a performer at the open mic night.
READ MORE: He was then confronted by a woman before Reilly stepped in and struck him to the ground. Mr Collins suffered a horror injury and had to be fitted with a prosthetic eye after the attack.

First offender Saem Yasin was caught with £465 of cannabis in Pollokshields on April 17, 2020. The 19-year-old had initially been spotted by the officers driving over the 30mph speed limit.

Yasin was found with a further £150 of cannabis in the city s Queen’s Park two months later. He pleaded guilty on Thursday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to careless driving, possession of cannabis and possession of a taser without authority. The court heard officers decided to stop Yasin’s Vauxhall Corsa in relation to another matter and activated their blue lights and siren.

Mr Bedford said that Vukomba became angry and grabbed her by the neck and later the hair causing some of her braids to fall out. She pleaded with him to stop the assault, but he carried on punching her on the head and body. A 999 call was made by the woman who screamed down the phone for officers to attend. Mr Bedford said: “Vukomba placed his hands around her neck and compressed it which restricted her breathing.
