john mohammed in this film what you learned in terms of his mind and how you got into that character. well, unfortunately i haven t had the dubious honor to portray john mohammed, in the film i m portraying a character named john allen. how i got into that mind was following directions of rfi and explicit directions of my wonderful genius director. we made a movie about a toxic father-son relationship inspired by the actual events of the actual john allen mohammed and the actual individual that is now incarcerated lee malvo. nowhere in the film do we mention those last names. the character portrayed is only called lee. you don t hear his name in the film. my character is only called john once in the entire film. that s what the film is about. it s a psychological thriller
