DANA POINT, California I was born in Cleveland in 1953, and have been a loyal fan of my hometown baseball team for over 60 years, even though I moved to the West Coast more than four decades ago.
The Dolan family’s ownership has taken some criticism, primarily for a tight payroll, which has limited the ability to retain our very best players and aggressively compete for free agents in the MLB marketplace. I have always stood firmly behind the Dolans, as stable owners doing their level best to field a competitive team in a baseball league that is unfairly balanced against small market franchises like Cleveland.
