The $1 billion master-planned
Sapphire Bay development will welcome Hyatt to operate its resort and conference center. Set to be located on the Sapphire Bay Peninsula and expected to open in fall 2023, the resort will join Hyatt’s Destination Hotels brand and showcase more than 500 guestrooms, suites, and villas, each with waterfront views overlooking Lake Ray Hubbard and the seven-acre man-made Sapphire Bay Lagoon.
The lead architect for the resort is 5G Studio Collaborative. Brian Bridgewater, P.E. with Manhard Consulting is the project’s civil engineer, and Lifescapes International will design the landscaping and tropical garden environments. Huntington apartments sell to California-based multifamily firm.

San Diego-based Fairfield Residential purchased the 320-unit Huntington apartments on Rasor Boulevard near Preston Road.
Built in 2018, the five-story rental community was sold by Catalyst Urban Development in a deal negotiated by Institutional Property Advisors.
“There are very few assets in Plano that provide a physical fit and finish that resemble The Huntington,” Institutional Property Advisors’ Joey Tumminello said in a statement. “The asset’s location and differentiated property qualities attracted the most active institutional and private buyers.”

Dallas’ Quadrant
Investment Properties has purchased the award-winning International on Turtle Creek showroom and office complex on Irving Boulevard. Quadrant purchased the building from Dallas-based Stockdale Investment Group, which purchased the 155,000-square-foot complex in 2016. Quadrant acquired in a venture with Maryland-based Federal Capital Partners. J. Scott Lake and Jake Milner of Davidson & Bogel Real Estate represented the buyers.

Houston-based Lovett Commercial has filed plans with the state to build a 1 million-square-foot speculative warehouse near the northwest corner of Singleton Boulevard and Norwich Street in West Dallas. Plans say the project could break ground by February and deliver by the first quarter of 2022.

Cherry Coatings will grow its Dallas-Fort Worth operations with a new corporate headquarters at the popular 56,000-square-foot Inwood Soccer Center in Addison. Cherry Coatings, which specializes in new construction painting, industrial flooring, and maintenance coatings, will relocate from Carrollton to the former soccer landmark at 14801 Inwood Road, which sits on over three acres of land. The 53-year-old company will retrofit the building to house 75 corporate employees and a large warehouse with loading docks.
