SRSGA Sen. Madison King was confirmed Jan. 25 as chair of the elections commission. SRSGA will hold their election later in the semester.
Back for their first formal meeting of the semester Monday, the Slippery Rock Student Government Association (SGA) got to work preparing for the upcoming election.
The Senate body confirmed President Joey Sciuto’s nominee, Senator Madison King, as chair of the election commission. All senators voted to confirm King, with King abstaining from the vote.
King was nominated for the position based on her longtime experience with SGA and political science background, according to Sciuto.
Shortly after being confirmed, King released a statement thanking the Senate for its vote of confidence in her.
