Sergeant owens was in the car on the left and it breached the shafts concrete ceiling. A heavy structure that is part of the elevators machine room. Heavy debris rained down on to the righthand elevator in which court clerk smith was riding forcing that car down. The question is, what triggered the event . This shows two elevator cars in a common shaft. The car moved upward with such force it breached the ceiling with such force it broke the ceiling and the debris came down on the right hand elevator car in which the employee was riding and causing the car to come down and crush. It caused it to hit the second elevator. The Court Employee in that elevator car was taken in for observation and left the hospital in the last hour or so. Departed giving a thumbs up. The sergeant is still listed in Critical Condition with head and chest injuries, the labor and Industry Bureau is investigating this bizarre mishap as to when the elevators were last expected.
