Mr Enobi’s post on Instagram was a caption for a video he shared which showed Naira Marley apologising to his Cameroonian fans. According to him, the show was cancelled for “obvious reasons.”
Follow the announcement of the cancellation, Joey Akan, took to his Twitter page to make alleged revelations on why the intended show was cancelled.
He made these revelations in a series of tweets and one reads in part, “Yesterday, a Naira Marley concert scheduled to hold in Cameroon, didn’t happen. Special Forces Soldiers flooded the venue, scattered it, and chased everyone away, despite Marley being in the country, and ready to hit the stage. Why? Hate and beef from Cameroonian artists.“

story to commend his fans in Cameroon, who came to the airport in droves to

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has urged bloggers not to paint Cameroonians bad, saying they love Nigerians.
The singer made the appeal after the cancellation of the concert he was invited to perform in on Valentine’s Day in Cameroon.
Cameroon’s indigenous musicians fiercely opposed Marley’s invitation to the event.
Following the cancellation, blogs and fans of the singer condemned the cancellation, but Naira Marley said, “calm down,” via his Twitter handle.
He tweeted, “Blogs, please calm down, don’t paint Cameroon bad. They are actually very good and caring people. They actually love Nigerians, it’s a few of them hating but no love lost, we’re still family. One love.”

Controversial Nigerian singer, Naira Marley, was billed to perform at Chariot Hotel, Buea, Cameroon, on Valentine’s Day but the show was cancelled due to opposition by Cameroonian artistes. Before the cancellation of the show, the venue for the concert was changed twice.
A press statement by the organiser of the show, Prince Mykel Enobi, read in part, “Until last night, The Naira Marley Valentine experience was scheduled for Sunday 14th February at the Chariot Hotel, Buea, but the venue was moved to the Limbe Amusement Park, Mile 4.
“This eleventh-hour change is as a result of popular demand from Marlians, space constraints and the increasing demand for tickets from fervent Naira Marley fans and 237 music lovers across the national triangle, who have expressed their desire to see their superstars in a bigger space!
