Rob Sladek was appointed as the Lone Tree Board of Education’s newest member to fill the vacant seat left when former board member Joe Williams moved out of the district last month.
Four candidates Sladek, Gordon Viers, Lindsey Mills and Jammie Bradshaw were evaluated by the school board during a closed session special meeting on Dec. 17. After coming out of closed session, board member Mike Waldschmidt said all four candidates were “very impressive.”
Board president Christina Magruder commended the candidates on their well-thought-out presentations and responses to interview questions.
“It’s refreshing to see so many people interested in serving on the school board,” she said. “It’s a great thing for our district.”
