Takes a look at teens and tobacco products. Smoking isnt cool. Its not something you want to do. It can scar you for life. Smoking is not cool. Its gross. It smells bad. If you play sports or do any of that, it affects all that stuff. I think that im never gonna do that. A lot of kids dont admire when you smoke because its disgusting. Smoking can ruin your life. And while most teens seem to agree that smoking is bad for you, a surprising number still light up. In fact, according to the federal government, every single day, about 3,200 kids will try smoking for the first time. To give you an idea of just how many that is, 3,200 is more than the entire population of the town of goshen, connecticut. Theres a lot of kids that smoke over on the skate park. I dont personally know anybody who smokes, but ive seen people do it. I see people around the School Smoking a lot after school and even before school. Ornithologist takes on a new trade

When Loren Taylor was a high schooler she was recruited to become a farmer. As an outdoorsy gal who grew up on a farm up in “Bourbon country” of rural, central Kentucky, she considered that route in life, which would have allowed her to perpetuate a family business that produced everything from tobacco to horses to row crops. Taylor became very involved in Future Farmers of America and was even recruited by the University of Kentucky’s Agriculture Program. But ultimately an almost lifelong desire to get involved in conservation and the sciences peeled her away. “I remember dressing up as a park ranger in fifth grade for career day,” Taylor said. “And I just kind of decided that wildlife management and biology was what I’d pursue, rather than agriculture.”
