Is there any other continent that’s better for a surfer to be stuck on, season after season for a whole year, the Australia, where there’s seemingly every wavescape imaginable? Joel Paxton ain’t stuck. Joel Paxton’s latest edit is decidedly Antipodean, or so I thought. this list is the work of one person, who consulted no-one before hitting publish, so it’s probably missing some giganticly major stuff (like Dane Reynolds’ new website, or the end of Surfer Magazine, or the freaking bushfires that devastated so much of the Australian coasts, or the passings of iconic legends in Aus surf culture like Bob Cooper, Shmoo and Marti Tullemans, or perhaps just any of the hundreds of hours of footage from YouTube surf vloggers that flooded the internet in 2020. So please don’t hesitate t
