Joe Exotic slams Trump for not pardoning him: I m too innocent and too gay James Hibberd
Joe Exotic slammed President – wait, wait –
former President Donald Trump for not giving him a pardon on Wednesday.
Netflix s
Tiger King star was expecting clemency from Trump, and even had a stretch limo standing by outside his prison in Fort Worth, Texas. Trump handed out 73 pardons and 70 commutations to an assortment of white-collar criminals, cronies and rappers (such as Lil Wayne and Kodak Black) – but not to the infamous zookeeper. I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump, the 57-year-old Exotic, a.k.a. Joseph Maldonado-Passage, wrote on Twitter. I only mattered to Don Jr. when he needed to make a comment about me to boost his social media post. Boy were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first.
Print article The limousine “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic booked in hopes of receiving a presidential pardon was indeed a stretch after all. In more ways than one. Team Exotic was reportedly so confident about the Netflix docuseries star being pardoned by former President Donald Trump that he had a limo parked near his Fort Worth prison and elaborate plans to be whisked away for a medical evaluation and pampering. This, after the embattled zoo operator, whose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage, mounted one of the most high-profile campaigns to receive a pardon. Exotic was sorely disappointed Wednesday when he was excluded from the list of pardons and commutations that came during Trump’s final hours in office. Exotic, convicted in April 2019 on federal charges of animal cruelty and attempting to hire a hitman to kill rival Carole Baskin, had choice words for the former POTUS and his son Don Jr. But it was too little, too late.

US President Donald Trump s list of final pardons has grown at the eleventh hour, with 50 more names reportedly added to the tally.
The list was expected to drop at some point before midnight, Washington time (6pm NZT).
Sources speaking to several US outlets today say Trump has a list of about 150 people he will grant clemency to - that s an increase from 100 in yesterday s predictions.
“This time tomorrow, we’re going to be celebrating,” Eric Love told
Metro on Monday. “…We’re confident enough we already have a limousine parked about half a mile from the prison. We are really in action mode right now.”
Love wasn’t being hyperbolic. Photos of the “monster ram truck” limousine are circulating online, in pictures that truly feel emblematic of the Trump era as a whole a gauche display of wealth, celebrity, and whiteness, where brazen circumventions of the law are celebrated.
It’s since been confirmed that the limousine isn’t literally waiting outside the prison, but outside his lawyer’s office.

The limo is currently stationed about 800 metres from the prison in Fort Worth, Texas.

Joe Exotic’s lawyer Eric Love told BBC News he’s “confident” that Exotic will be pardoned, adding that the first thing he wants to do if he’s released “is get his hair done”.
