the state s attorney general says that it is likely that 17-year-old tj lane will be tried as an adult. people who knew him said that lane was a guarded boy, from a troubled family. for more on that and the victims and the fallout from yesterday s terrible attack, i want to bring in my colleague, ted rowlands, who is live from chardon. this young boy is in a lot of trouble, likely adult trouble. and now with a third death in this case, i m hearing that the sheriff is saying, we re moving to another phase. what exactly does the sheriff mean by that? well, clearly, we re talking about a triple homicide and this is a premeditated homicide, actually, and to say that he s in a lot of trouble is an understatement. and yes, he is a juvenile at this point, but we have seen in case after case where the crime, if it exceeds a certain level, there is a move by the prosecutor to try to get the individual responsible moved up to adult court, and we absolutely expect that to happen today
