David Walliams Billionaire Boy to be staged as a drive-in production at Newark Showground this Easter

The richest boy in the country is jumping in his sports car and heading to Newark Showground for the latest Carpark Party production.
David Walliamsâ Billionaire Boy is to be staged as a drive-in production at the venue on Tuesday, April 6, with performances at 2pm and 5pm.
It follows the sell-out success of the carpark pantomime, Horrible Histories, at the showground in December.

Best-selling author Walliams has teamed up with award-winning Birmingham Stage Company and Coalition Agency for the covid-safe stage show of his book this Easter.
The show is hilarious and I hope spreads some happiness in these difficult times.” Billionaire Boy tells the story of Joe Spud, who is twelve years old and the richest boy in the country. He has his own sports car, £100,000 a week pocket money and two crocodiles as pets. But what Joe doesn’t have is a friend. So he decides to leave his posh school and start at the local comprehensive. But things don t go as planned for Joe and life becomes a rollercoaster as he tries find the one thing money can t buy. CAR PARK PARTY was launched summer 2020 and hosted popular, Covid-safe events including a family drive in production of Horrible Histories ‘Barmy Britain’ and a Horrible Christmas drive in Christmas panto across the UK.
