National Republican Party to be clear, in context, theres a whole bunch of problems that the trump dpan has for the Republican Party. Theres a new poll that puts donald trump nationwide 14 points behind Hillary Clinton. 14 points behind . Now, that is not the only poll in the world, right . Theres another National Poll out also tonight from fox news that says hes only 3 points behind Hillary Clinton. Well be talking later on in the show with an expert about how to read the various polls right now. How to know whats right, especially when youve got results like these that are so disparate. In either case 13 points behind or 3 points behind, he is still behind. The headwinds seem very clear right now. Tonight at fivethirtyeight. Com theyre reading those headwinds for the president ial race and looking at the senate polls. Fivethirtyeight is giving the Republican Party a 68 chance of losing control of the United States senate this year. So that is just one of the problems that it appears
It was much lengthier, which i think caused some of us to speculate that all of these delays related to some juror issue, but the jurors are all back. Theres been no further discussion of the reason for the delay. Testimony is ongoing. The other intriguing thing that happened today was about sealed testimony about some rick gates testimony that could have to do with an investigation that is still ongoing. When we consider what investigations are still ongoing that rick gates might have to do with, were looking at the larger special counsel investigation into the russia probe. What do you make of that testimony being put under seal by the judge . Well, that came after an objection when the defense asked rick gates if he was asked questions by the fbi about his role in the Trump Campaign. And so at that point there was this sidebar where no doubt they discussed the scope of rick gates cooperation. It would not surprise me if he wasnt providing information about the time that he served as
and many cbp customs and border protection high-level officials have told members of congress and the public that they re concerned about terrorist and known as what we call k asts, known suspected terrorists, and people in the no fly list sneaking across the southern border because of the the volume of individuals that are coming and the number of countries are coming from. i mean, this is exactly what we ve heard from republican critics of the southern border and how it s being handled at this moment is a concern that this something like this could happen and the system not working yeah, it s always a concern, especially when we would call them up the gottaways. so if you look at if one in every hundred thousand individuals who get away is a known as suspected terrorists. you can have dozens or hundreds of individuals that could potentially threats and so this is a wake-up call to all yeah. it certainly is marvin southern border. your connection broke up a little there
