IOLA, WI (WSAU) After one year off due to COVID-19, organizers of the annual Iola Car Show and Swap Meet say their event is being planned for this July.
Executive Director Joe Opperman released a statement this week saying that his staff is ready to rally from the cancellation of the show in 2020.
This year’s show will be held July 8th, 9th, and 10th. Opperman says they are preparing over 1,600 campground spaces and over 4,000 swap spaces. Over 2,500 cars will also be on display over the three-day show.
Opperman added that they are hoping the show can bring positivity, hope, and much-needed revenue to the area after a tough 2020.

IOLA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) â The Iola Car Show is giving the green light for this yearâs three-day event after last yearâs cancellation.
The car show was one of many events put on hold in 2020 due to the pandemic.
âOur show is a very important piece of central Wisconsin and thereâs just a tremendous amount of people that rely on the success of our show,â Iola Car Show executive director Joe Opperman said.
A year without the Iola Car Show doesnât just impact the organization. Opperman tells FOX 11 the car show typically gives direct funding to about 130 groups.
