The people of Obeagu Awkunanaw and Amechi Uwani communities in the Enugu South Local Government Area have vowed to resist the proposed demolition of structures in some parts of the disputed 1,097 hectares of land in the communities by the Management of the Enugu Capital Territory Development Authority (ECTDA). The state government had in a public service announcement issued an ultimatum ending on Thursday, May 4, 2023, for the demolition of illegal structures at Enugu Lifestyle and Golf City, Centenary Masterplan.
