Share Legendary New York City gem dealer Joe Menzie (pictured) has been appointed the North American ambassador for Gembridge, the new business-to-business trading platform for colored stones. He will be joined by two other well-known gem names: Edward Boehm, owner of RareSource, based in Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Evan Caplan, head of Los Angeles–based Evan Caplan Rare and Fine Gems. Menzie, the former president of the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA), talked about his long career in the jewelry industry on JCK’s podcast, The Jewelry District, in 2019. In addition, Gembridge has hired Ioannis Alexandris, CEO of Gemolithos, an antique jeweler and gemstones supplier, to beef up its business in Germany.
