senator against the democratic party base and between the democratic party base and his or her state s voters, this white house has not done that. it s actually not democrats. you ve got millions of americans who are sick of washington who voted for bipartisanship. they said we want pragmatism and that s the opposite of what we ve gotten. joe, you are a republican. yesterday right after he voted, roy moore was at the podium and he said i urge people of the state of alabama to vote with their conscience. what did you do? i voted with my conscience and i did not vote for roy moore. i did a write-in yesterday because, again, the things that roy moore said, the things that he did on the campaign trail, the things he said about the families, that our families are better during slavery, i couldn t begin to vote for roy moore. so i did do a write-in yesterday. that s what i had to do. i had to vote my values. eli, are we going to get a big write-in excuse me,
than ever before. he no longer is bound by the rules and regulations of the white house. he can call president trump any time he wants. i have a feeling he does. i want to bring my panel in here. republican and alabama radio host joe lockett who hosts the joe lockett show. eli stokels, robert traynham, and of course steve, i m going to give you my cup of tea, i haven t drank it yet. he needs it, he was up all night working. joe, you were there in alabama. yes. i want you to talk us through how your listeners are processing the results. but also, who are your listeners? what s the demographic? i m on 101.1 here in birmingham. my listeners right now, they re taking this hard because most of my listeners are from those rural areas, and a lot of people wanted roy moore to win from my fan base. but at the end of the day, roy moore just wasn t a great candidate, stephanie. he came in and the things that he said, what lost this race for
somebody who dated 14-year-old girls. this was ant rebuke of republican values, this was the rebuke of a candidate. we had a blemished candidate, everybody knows that. steve bannon, just like everybody else you want to name that s not in government or politics is a private citizen. and how are you going to ban a private citizen from whatever he wants to do? he looked like some disheveled drunk who wandered in off the street. to have him become the face of politics and have a major voice in politics i think is wrong. i think we should shun him and cut him off. he looked like a disheveled drunk. joining me now, republican and alabama radio host, joe lockett, who hosts the joe lockett show. joe, of course, i wasn t talking about you, i was talking about representative king and steve bannon. you re a republican. you chose not to vote for roy moore. why was that? right. because, as i stated earlier this morning, the things that you saw him talking about, the
serious and make blacks come to the gop, you have to listen to what we are saying. stop trying to pimp the black community. if you want to work with the black people, you ve got to work with us. if you don t work with us, you see what will happen. the gop has a problem. and joe, you voted for doug jones. do you think doug jones is going to work with you? i did not vote for doug jones. i m sorry, i thought you did. i did a write-in. what was the question? do you think doug jones will be able to work with you and your interests? i hope so. i really hope so. but i m going to be reaching out to doug jones camp because i want to talk to him. even though i m a republican, in politics, guess what, we should all be able to work together. the american people, katy, is tired of the back and forth from the left and from the right. it is time these politicians you ve been sent, doug jones, you ve been sent to washington to do a job and i hope you can do it for the american people. j
