Sunday's DominGO! event in Hartford will shut down two miles of Park Street from Prospect Avenue to Main Street to make way for people to walk, bike, run, use their wheelchairs unencumbered by motorized traffic.
The city’s second inaugural open-streets event, DominGO! Hartford, will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 25 along Park Street and Prospect Avenue, down to Main Street.
The event was rescheduled from July due to extreme heat.
DominGO! Hartford will transform 2 miles of streets into car-free public spaces open for biking, walking, running and exercising, as well as visiting local businesses and eating at restaurants. There will be multiple activity hubs along the route meant for all ages and abilities.
Hundreds of Hartford residents were able to side-step the crush of vaccination appointment requests that came with the first day widespread eligibility Thursday by attending the city's first walk-up, residents-only clinic.
