Bobby Holley raising money to buy bicycles for children

Bobby Holley raising money to buy bicycles for children Bobby Holley is collecting bottles and cans again, this time to make bicycles. Earlier this winter the Battle Creek community activist collected returnable bottles and cans and used the money to purchase mittens, hats and winter coats for young people who needed them. The money he raised was enough to purchase 35 coats and 350 hats and gloves. He said this week he will begin collecting redeemable containers on Friday and hopes to raise enough money to purchase and distribute 20 new bicycles. There are a lot of needy kids that are going to need some good recreational fun this summer and these bikes can help provide some of that fun for kids who can t afford a new bike, Holley said.
