On May 12, Schwabe collaborated with Moss Adams to host a virtual roundtable that explored legal realities around owning and operating a hemp business in Oregon. Schwabe attorneys Lisa Schaures and Joe Hobson were joined by Jacob Crabtree of Columbia Hemp Trading Company, Sunny Summers of the Oregon Department of Agriculture, and Ryan Kuenzi of Moss Adams.
Our panelists discussed the evolving nature of the hemp industry at the state and federal level in Oregon. They also acknowledged sticky issues happening in the industry and tried to answer the big question: how do companies make money in hemp?
Eason Horticultural Resources adds five to sales team
Eason Horticultural Resources has announced the addition of four new sales representatives, and one additional member to their sales support team. Included in the sales team additions are Don Blocker, Don Gamsjager, Keith Irlbacher and Steve Stier. Linda Ferrari also joins the organization as a sales support specialist.
As a Kentucky native, Don Blocker has spent most of his career in horticultural sales in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana. With a BS in Ornamental Horticulture from Eastern Kentucky University, Blocker has held various positions in the green industry over the last 30 years. Before transitioning to EHR, he worked as a field sales representative with McHutchison.

Her essay out of 700 entries was one of 21 submissions picked to be included in a journey to the International Space Station.
“To do the essay, I thought about the stuff we could do in the future and what I think would be nice to have,” says Girl Scout Brownie Laurel S. from Troop 861. “It makes me feel like the essay was special, so they chose it for its creativity.”
Laurel’s submission included an essay and a Zoom interview.
