The AZ Water Association presents water awards of honor every year in the categories of water distribution systems, water treatment, wastewater collection systems, and wastewater treatment. The 41 new distinctions bring EPCOR’s total number of awards from the AZ Water Association to over 200.

EPCOR receives grant to build reclaimed water pipeline PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Water Resources has awarded EPCOR USA a $250,000 grant to help build a new reclaimed water pipeline for the benefit of San Tan (formerly Johnson Utilities) customers, agricultural water users, and the San Tan Valley region. This supports water management goals in the Phoenix Active Management Area by reducing demand for groundwater pumping. Under the terms of the Lower Colorado Basin Drought Contingency Plan (DCP), Arizona stakeholders agreed to offset Central Arizona Project water reductions to agricultural users by making alternate sources available. EPCOR is the only private water company participating in the DCP Mitigation Agreement.

EPCOR USA completes Johnson Utilities Acquisition

Sunday, 31 January 2021 A new chapter for Johnson Utilities customers began effective January 29, 2021 as Johnson Utilities is now part of the EPCOR family of customers. The Arizona Corporation Commission voted to approve the transfer of ownership of Johnson Utilities to EPCOR on December 22, 2020. The financial transaction and formal transfer of ownership was completed on January 29, 2021, opening a new chapter for Johnson Utilities customers and for EPCOR.  What does the ownership transfer mean for customers?  EPCOR s mission is providing clean and safe water and wastewater service to their customers. The former Johnson Utilities service area will now operate as EPCOR s San Tan water and wastewater districts.
