WEST CHESTER - Members of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Greater West Chester delivered the first 10 of 35 desks to the Melton Community Center. Members have been working with Ken Winston, a former Sunrise Rotarian, on the desk proposal, which focuses on children in grades K-6, to provide a learning environment for children at home and for the Center for the New Directions After School Enrichment Program.
Ten desks will be used at the Center and the other 25 will be distributed to families in the community. The project was organized by Sunrise Rotarians Sue Tiernan, Joe Borst and Bob Eaves.
