Assessing Motivation, Burnout, and Resiliency in Online Degree Advancement Respiratory Care Students During a Pandemic

Boise State eCampus Center Kristen McHenry, College of Allied Health and Sciences About the project As it is increasingly suggested that Respiratory care specialists receive a baccalaureate degree in addition to an associate degree, several colleges and universities have provided online programs so students can work full-time while earning a degree. This project is intended to evaluate the level of burnout among students required to pursue a degree while working in a high-stress environment. The goal is to understand and help students who are engaged in an online respiratory care bachelor program while working in the field and to provide the support necessary to help them succeed, especially during a pandemic.
