JOHANNESBURG - A local government specialist said on Tuesday the Joburg Metro’s Budget was a balancing act with a focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While the city announced rates and taxes increases during Tuesday’s Budget release, it has also emphasised its commitment to providing struggling residents with debt relief.

JOHANNESBURG - Some of Joburg s biggest informal settlements and townships are due for major upgrades and developmental projects.
The city has provisioned monies for the construction of public transport facilities, water infrastructure and the tarring of roads among other plans in Orange Farm, Ivory Park and Kliptown.
