Struggling to find arms
Most weeks, the Fremont hospital gets around 500 vaccines, mostly Moderna. And they often struggle to find enough people to get the shots, according to Jodi Rucker, chief nursing officer at ProMedica s Memorial Hospital. We re really struggling to fill all of our appointment slots for the vaccine, Rucker said.
While appointments are always encouraged for the clinic on Saturday, Rucker said walk-ins are welcome to ensure the vaccine gets used up.
One reason there have not been enough arms for the number of shots, Rucker said, was due to other appointment slots being filled by patients at other pharmacies, hospitals and sites in and around Sandusky County.
