A lawyer, Naqvi is a former Attorney General for the Province of Ontario, former president of the Liberal Party of Ontario, a director with United Way East Ontario and is currently the chief executive officer for the Institute of Canadian Citizenship. His life and professional experiences, including having immigrated with his family to Canada from Pakistan in 1988, has given Naqvi a keen insight into creating inclusive communities.
