Delays are expected around the city with a huge diversion via the A164, Jock s Lodge, the A1079 and Sutton Road in place for out-of-town traffic. The 17-mile journey will face those who would otherwise have used Castle Street to get between east and west Hull. The finishing touches are being made to the new bridge across Castle Street ahead of its imminent opening, while work to reroute sewers and Myton Bridge repairs will take place at the same time.
