The West Australian government is being urged by the federal government and the legal profession to update its discrimination legislation to bring it in line with the rest of the country.
As the Morrison government announced an overhaul of the federal Sex Discrimination Act, the WA government declined to comment on potential changes to the equivalent state-based legislation while it awaits the outcome of a review that remains in a âpre-consultationâ phase more than two years after it was commenced.
