with either one because they re concerned about getting re-elected. so ejulie, what about the fat the republican-led house has passed many, you know, versions of obamacare or fixes. they ve also passed jobs bills, but they all get stuck in the senate. harry reid simply doesn t take any of them up. there s a jobs bill obama proposed years ago the republicans killed. i see the republicans repeal obamacare 40, 50 times. they ve proposed ideas, but i have yet to see the house pass a comprehensive health care bill. the ideas are there. they are there in the house. again, harry reid is standing in the way. harry reid is also calling americans liars who are being harmed by obamacare. so health savings accounts, for example, what about that for individuals where people will have control over their own health insurance? right now millions of americans are being harmed. whether you re political or not, you ve got government on your doorstep one way or the other. so people are taking notice
kids have access to high speed internet and high-tech learning tools in the classroom. the point is, this has to be a year of action, and i m eager to work with congress wherever i can. my hope is, that despite this being an election year, there will be occasions where both parties determine that it makes sense to actually get some things done in this town, but wherever i can work on my own to expand opportunity for more americans, i m going to do that, and i am absolutely convinced that the time is right to partner with the states and governors of all across the country on these agendas, because i know that you guys are doing some terrific work in your own states. there may not be much of an appetite in congress for doing big jobs bills, but we can still grow select usa. secretary s team has put together a terrific formula
gop-backed jobs bills that have already cleared the house. do you agree with that? yes. i do agree with that and at the same time, i think that he should encourage senate democrats to take up some of those bills that have been sent over by the republican-controlled house and i also think that again, he should be very careful about how he uses executive power. one of the biggest detriments to job creation is the heavy hand of washington, d.c. on americans and the job creators across the country. so i think he needs to be very careful in terms of what he does because the answers aren t in washington, d.c the answers are outside washington and this economy was doing a lot better if there weren t so many regulations, laws, executive orders and things like that coming out of washington. justin, let s talk about that. let s break that down. let s break it down. good bills come out of washington, we create jobs. transportation bill, the last highway bill that passed, for every billion
