HAILING from the picturesque province of La Union to the Flores-Zafra-Villa-Cariaso clan, Joanne Cariaso-Gacayan mounted her maiden solo exhibition titled Enlace, intricately merged the themes of binding and lace to poignantly depict the profound relationship between mother and child. Through a collection of candid portrayals, spanning various life stages, she masterfully encapsulated this bond, weaving it with delicate lace motifs in vibrant watercolor compositions on archival paper.
