HOWARD, Wis. Michael P. Henderson, 65, of Howard, Wis., passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 27, 2020. He was born on July 5, 1955 in Escanaba, Mich., to James and JoAnn (Baker) Henderson. He graduated from Escanaba Area High School in 1974. Michael was a graduate of Northern Michigan University. He worked as a manager of Olsen’s Piggly Wiggly for 30 years until his retirement in 2016.
Michael loved the outdoors. He traveled the Upper Peninsula, finding isolated spots to explore, fish, and just be. A family cottage on Lake Superior was also a favorite destination.
Michael is survived by his mother, JoAnn Henderson; sister, Mary Anne Olsen; brother-in-law, Chuck Olsen; brother, Jim Henderson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Henderson; and his dearly loved daughter, Erin (Henderson) Hiddema; his two grandchildren, Charley Mae, Jesse; son-in-law Eric Hiddema; and his best friend Dave Brassard and wife Kathy.
