A Brooklyn lawmaker is demanding a probe of the migrants' encampment at Floyd Bennett Field after she personally recorded at least five pricey unregistered cars being towed.
Mayor Adams’ administration began relocating nearly 2,000 migrants Tuesday from shelters at Floyd Bennett Field to a southern Brooklyn high school due to extreme weather forecasts, leaving many waiting in the rain for school buses to carry them. The migrants were set to stay overnight at James Madison High School in Midwood, according to Adams, with students there expected to attend classes .
New York Assemblywoman Jaime Williams, a Democrat, described the urgency of the migrant crisis after capturing video of migrants' vehicles being towed outside a Brooklyn-area shelter.
