Pleasanton Unified School District welcomed two new leaders to the Board of Trustees at the final board meeting of 2020, marking the end of a tumultuous and historic year.
Trustees Kelly Mokashi and Mary Jo Carreon were sworn in at last Tuesday s meeting, along with incumbent Steve Maher, who will serve a second term as trustee.
Mokashi and Carreon took the place of outgoing trustees Jamie Yee and Valerie Arkin. Arkin took the oath of office on Tuesday as the newest member of the Pleasanton City Council, having won one of two open seats, while Yee was unsuccessful in winning re-election to a fourth term as trustee.
