COTUI, 20 de julio, 2021.- El director ejecutivo del Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos (INDRHI), Olmedo Caba Romano, efectuó un recorrido de seguimiento a trabajos que se ejecutan en sistemas de riego por los municipios La Mata y Cotuà en la provincia Sánchez RamÃrez.
El propósito del INDRHI, es garantizar el agua a productores agrÃcolas y ganaderos que convergen en la demarcación, y disminuir posibles inundaciones por lluvias durante la temporada ciclónica.
Caba Romano inspeccionó en el municipio La Mata la intervención en 2.4 kilómetros del canal de riego MataâLa Bija, donde a su paso en el centro de Villa La Mata se extraen sedimentos con equipo pesado, lo que permitirá eficientizar el riego y agilizar la circulación de agua en dÃas de fuertes lluvias evitando inundaciones a las viviendas próximas.
