Karla Kay Sundvall, 86, passed peacefully, to be with Jesus her Lord, on February 15, at Edgewood Vista in Hermantown, MN. She was born October 7, 1935 to Madge and Clarence Davis, raised in Pinckneyville, IL. She lived a full life, a voracious reader, short story writer, accomplished pianist, fisherwoman, bridge player, Bulldog hockey fan, Twins baseball fan, and an activist in her communities. She returned to college in her 40’s to achieve a double major in Social Work and English (writing focus) and then a Masters in Social Work followed by a satisfying career at United Hospital in St. Paul. She was married to Ken, in 1994, and retired with him to lake country living on 3rd Crow Wing Lake, Nevis. Favorite poem: “When I Am An Old Woman, I Shall Wear Purple.”
